DA joins Ware students, community members in domestic violence awareness walk

The Ware River Valley Domestic Violence Task Force convened the 6th annual domestic violence awareness walk Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021.

The event included a walk starting Veteran’s Park on Main Street across from Ware Town Hall

Attendees are encouraged to wear the color purple in solidarity with victims of abuse.

Students from the community, many wearing purple in solidarity with survivors of abuse, played a key role in this year’s walk.

Members of the Ware High School Domestic Violence Task Force emceed the event and took the lead during the walk. Across the country, young people between 16 and 24 or at the highest risk for relationship violence, according to the task force.
