Erin M. O’Connor, 38, of Westfield, was arraigned in Eastern Hampshire District Court on Nov. 26 on charges of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, operating a motor vehicle while sending/reading an electronic message and a crosswalk violation in connection with the  Aug. 29, 2018  pedestrian death of Michihiro Yoshida in South Hadley.

O’Connor was released on her personal recognizance and is due back in court on Jan. 18, 2019 for a pre-trial hearing.
