Montgomery man to be arraigned in connection with July 11 fatal crash in Huntington *** UPDATED ***


Joshua Hall,  42, of Montgomery, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 28, on a charge of felony motor vehicle homicide in connection with a July 11, 2018 fatal crash on Route 112 in Huntington, which claimed the life of  Melinda Carriveau.

A State Police investigation of the incident found that Hall was driving his truck approximately 90 miles per hour and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Carriveau, his passenger, was thrown from the front seat and died as a result of the crash.

Upon his arrest, Hall was brought to the Russell State Police Barracks for booking.  His bail was set at $1,000, and he is scheduled to be arraigned in Northampton District Court tomorrow morning. 

*** update *** Hall was arraigned in Northampton District Court Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, on a charge of motor vehicle homicide. He was released on $1,000 cash bail with the conditions that he not consume alcohol, wear an alcohol monitoring device and not drive. 

He is due to return to Northampton District Court for a pre-trial hearing Oct. 4, 2018.
