Easthampton man arraigned, held on alleged bomb charges ***updated***

Nelson Lacaprucia, 47, of Easthampton, was arraigned in Greenfield District Court, Thursday, March 29, on a complaint charging him with violations of Massachusetts General Law Chapter 266, Section 102A (throwing, secreting, launching or placing of incendiary device) and Massachusetts General Law Chapter 266, Section 102(a)(i) (possession or control of incendiary device or material). 

He was ordered held without the right to bail until Monday, April 2, 2018, at which time a dangerousness hearing will be conducted.

****Update****After the  April 2 hearing in Greenfield District Court, the defendant was held without the right to bail under 58A.

The next court date is on May 1, 2018. He is charged with Secrete/Throw/Launch/Place Explosives (G.L. c 266 s. 102A) and  Possess Incendiary Device, Chem/Bio/Nuclear Weapon (G.L. c 266 s. 102 (a)).
