Missing Colrain Woman's Body Recovered

On Sunday morning, May 24, 2020, the Montague Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Cabot Street along the Connecticut River after reports of what appeared to be a human body floating in the River.
The Fire Department removed the body from the water and confirmed that the person was deceased. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later identified the person as Caroline (Morgan) Bren of Colrain, Massachusetts, who was reported missing on April 8, 2020.
Although the circumstances surrounding Bren’s death remain under investigation, at this time no foul play is suspected.
