On June 2, 2020 at approximately 7:42 p.m. in Amherst, in the area of 916 West Street, Amherst Police responded to a head-on crash involving a Datsun 280ZX and a Honda Minivan.

The two occupants of the Datson, a male in his 40s and a male in his 20s, both from Amherst, were pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the minivan remained on scene and was cooperative with police before being transported to the hospital with minor injuries. No charges or citations have been issued.
