NWDA's Consumer Protection team offers virtual presentation on preventing scams

In conjunction with National Consumer Protection Week, March 6-12 the Northwestern District Attorney's Consumer Protection Unit is presenting Preventing Scams and Identity Theft Tuesday, March 8 at 11 a.m., open to anyone. The presentation will address the types of scams being tried locally, new tactics being used to get your money and personal information, and, importantly, how to protect yourself against identity theft as well as outlining steps to take if you think you may be a victim of identity theft. There will be time for questions.
