Indictments returned in armed Christmas Day burglary case

A Hampshire County Grand Jury returned indictments today in the case of Nancy Gehrung, 48 , of Northampton, in connection with an armed Christmas Eve burglary.  According to Assistant Northwestern District Attorney Stephen Sloan, who presented the case to the grand jury, Gehrung broke into a Northampton home on Christmas  and pointed a loaded firearm at the residents when they returned home.

Gehrung will be arraigned on the following charges:

- burglary while armed with a firearm

- robbery while armed with a firearm

- possession of a firearm

- possession of a large capacity firearm

- possession of a firearm during the commission of  a felony

- receiving stolen property
